The 63rd Chicago/Midwest Regional Emmy Awards have nominated Marquee Sports Network. In addition to being nominated in many categories, the network got two nominations for exceptional accomplishment in a live sporting event, sports interview, and program. The winners will be notified by the end of November. The network was also recognized for its special two-hour pregame studio broadcast before Opening Day in 2021.
KTSM has been nominated for two regional Emmys in sports this year. The first award is for Defenseless: A KTSM Investigation, which results from a three-month investigation into why high school basketball players wear poorly tested helmets. Full Court Press: One-On-One with Tim Floyd, nominated in the Interview/Discussion category, was the second nominee. Two players were interviewed on both broadcasts, taped in El Paso.
